Taiwan trip itinerary — Day 4: Chiayi – Alishan – Sun Moon Lake – Taichung
From Chiayi, I took the bus in early morning, the earliest trip at 5:55AM to Alishan National Scenic Area. 8:30AM arrive, playing here until 1pm, take the bus for 3.5 hours to reach Sun Moon Lake. 6:30PM from Sun Moon Lake to Taichung. Previously, I also rarely see anyone visiting both locations in the same day because both are quite large and take time to move, not to mention not much information. I will share the bus schedule, how to travel in detail in another article.

11 days in Taiwan — Day 5: Cingjing Sheep Farm – Aowanda National Forest
During my trip in Taiwan, only in Cingjing farm, I found the natural scenery is still a little bit beautiful but it is quite small. As for Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area, I am quite disappointed because it only has a suspension bridge and gateway has yellow leaves, not much but sporadic, compared to what tourism advertising is … unbelievable.
Hours (Cingjing Sheep Farm / Aowanda Forest): 8am – 5pm daily
Taiwan trip itinerary — Day 6: Taichung
Morning: Rainbow Village. This area is not comparable with Gamcheon Village in Busan, Korea or the beautiful blue village of Chefchaouen in Morocco. The rainbow village, located near the residential area, was painted on walls by a former soldier to save the houses from being cleared, now become an unique and colorful place that attracts tourists. You should come here at noon to avoid the crowds.

Taiwan travel itinerary — Day 7: Taichung – Taipei

11 days in taiwan — Day 8: Depart from Taipei to Jiufen – Houtong Cat Village – Shifen
Anyone who has ever been to Taipei, definitely should not miss 3 villages: Jiufen, Shifen, Houtong cat village if you want to learn more about Taiwan’s cultural and history. Below, I will share how you can self travel from Taipei without buying tour/rent private car from 3rd party, simply but much cheaper. The total cost of transportation and snacks is less than $22/person. Read more about how to travel and information about these 3 villages here.
Evening: Shilin Night Market: This is the famous and largest night market in Taipei. If your time is tight, I think going to this market is enough. The shops are neatly planned, clean, inside there is a small temple. The favorite food here is grilled king mushrooms, I have to wait in line for a long time.
Address: No. 101, Jihe Road, Shilin District, Taipei City, Taiwan 111
Hours: 4PM – 12AM. Particularly Saturday and Sunday: 3PM – 1AM
Getting there: Take the MRT red line, get out of Jiantan Station (not Shilin), this station is closer to the market.
Taiwan itinerary — Day 9: Taipei (Beitou – Tamsui – Ximending)
Public hot spring bath in Beitou. If you want to experience the local culture, you should try coming here once in the winter to experience, the weather is cold and cool make you feel so good. Bathing here in turns, 2 hours for each turn, only allowed to wear a 1–piece polite swimsuit. So you try to watch the time to arrive at the right time, so you don’t have to wait.
Opening time: 5:30AM – 10PM
Access: Take the MRT Red Line to Beitou Station – Transfer train line to Xinbeitou Station. Get out, across the road and walk for about 15 minutes.
Tamsui Port: Is the last station of the Taipei MRT red line, about 40 minutes from the center. This is a must-visit if you’re a Jay Chou fan. In addition to watching the very romantic sunset at the windswept seaport, it is very close to the old chicken and dumpling shop that Jay used to eat when he was young. Therefore, the owner of the shop named the combo (chicken drumstick + wonton bowl served with vegetables, eggs, wood ear) as a Jay Chou meal. Eat full and quite delicious, the price is not too expensive NT$155 ($5).
How to go: Take the MRT red line, the last Tamsui station.
Ximending Walking Street: Actually, It is said the night market is not very correct, Ximending is a walking street combining modern night market like Myeongdong shopping street in Korea. There are many fashion brands, international cosmetics, movie theaters, cakes, candy bought as gifts … (prices are often more expensive than other night markets), mainly for tourists. Suitable for walking, playing and entertaining rather than eating.
Hours: 11am to 11pm daily
How to go: Take the MRT green line, get off at Ximen Station.
Taiwan 11 days itinerary — Day 10: Taipei – Hualien (Taroko) – Taipei
Taroko National Park: Mainly lofty rocky mountains, many dark tunnel sections. If you have young children, I recommend not to go because in addition to moving inconvenient, this place is quite dangerous, everyone wears hard hats to prevent stone from falling on the head. In the afternoon, I returned to Taipei, not to play more in Hualien.
Hours: 8:30AM – 5PM
Getting there: From Taipei Main Station – take the bus to Luodong Station – take the train to Xincheng Taroko Station – Get out of the station, take bus 302 to Taroko Park.
Evening: Shida Night Market: Located near College of Education, Taipei. I came to this market mainly because there was pearl Pizza. Mainly want to enjoy all the unique foods in Taiwan. This market is quite small and not very popular with tourists, mainly selling clothes and souvenir shops for students.
Address: Lane 39, Shida Road, Da’an District, Taipei City, Taiwan 106
Hours: 8am – 10pm
Getting there: Take the MRT green line, get off at Taipower Building Station, Exit 3, go straight on Shida Road.
Taipei 101: There are 101 floors, the tallest building in Taiwan and the tallest ever in the world from 2004 to 2011, symbolizing the architecture and wealth of Taipei. In addition, there are many food shops on the first floor including the famous Dim Sum restaurant Din Tai Fung.

Shopping, buying souvenirs at Taipei City Mall: This is a cheap shopping mall selling everything under the Taipei Main Station. There are both knife Massage and Blind Massage you can try if you like.
How to get there: The MRT blue line/red line, get off at Taipei Main Station.
Afternoon: 4PM, take the MRT to Taoyuan airport, 7:10PM fly back to Hanoi (It is recommended to go 3 hours in advance because moving in the station and queuing at the airport is very crowded). End of the good trip!
