Tioman travel blog: Best time to visit Tioman Island
The best time to visit Tioman Island is from March to October because this is the time when the average temperature is around 30°C. The rainy season from mid-November to mid-February, tourist areas and boat service will be closed. In particular, you should avoid the holidays of Singapore or Malaysia, because this time will be crowded for tourists, waiting to ship to the island is also difficult and take a longer time.

Once you arrive in Kuala Lumpur, you have two ways to get Tioman Island:
Firstly, get to Tioman Island by air: From Kuala Lumpur, you can take a taxi or bus to Subang International Airport; from here you take another route with an approximate travel time of 1 hour to get to the airport Pulau Tioman on the island. The ticket price is range from 44 to 57 dollars/ticket.
Secondly, get to Tioman Island by bus: Malaysian bus companies provide routes to Mersing or Tanjung Gemok. You can refer prices and buy bus tickets online at http://www.busonlineticket.com/. From here, you can take the Bluewater Express 35MYR for one way / 2 hours (about 8 dollars), you can buy tickets directly at travel companies or at the harbor. The boat will stop at the beach or pier of Tioman Island depending on the places which you book the hotel.

Although this is a small island, due to the development of sea tourism orientation, there is a system of motels, hotels on Tioman island quite developed although the number is not really rich and diverse variety. It is mostly located in the popular low-cost level suitable for self-sufficiency trip of tourists.
You can choose from simple camps in the quiet ABC area or Mokhtar area, with the cost is less than 22 dollars/ night for 16m square meters of wooden rooms, clean and only a few steps from the sea.
