On the other hand, local travellers who are interested in hot spring bath usually go to a more hardcore place. It is our pleasure to introduce to you hot springs in Wulai District (Wulai hot springs), located on the slope of a mountain in the suburb of Taipei and next to an all-year-round flowing little river. Since residing on a mountain, this area is really quiet and peaceful, which makes Taiwanese travellers falling in love with it instantly. In the weekend, you will see a lot of families driving their cars to get here and have some relaxing time.

![Wulai hot spring Picture: volando urai spring spa & resort review blog.](https://livingnomads.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/14/Wulai-hot-spring-31.jpg)
There are 2 ways to travel to Urai Volando Spring Spa & Resort. One thing to note that the route includes mountain pass so be prepared if you don’t feel comfortable.
1. Public transportation
Take the Green Line MRT to the last stop at Xian Dian. From here, go to the bus stop on the right hand side of the gate, take the Xian Dian Bus number 849 and get off at Yanti Station. From here, walk an extra 100 meters, you will see Urai Volando Spring Spa & Resort on your right, next to a 7-Eleven convenient store.

The ticket cost is 15TWD/pass and it will take you 30 minutes to get there. It is usually crowded over the weekend, so there is a high chance that you will have to stand for an extended time while commuting. The last time we went there, because we didn’t book the shuttle beforehand, we ended up standing the entire time on the bus. When arriving at the spa, the first thing we wanted to do is getting right inside the hot spring bath to relax our exhausted bodies.
2. The spa shuttle
Take the Green Line MRT to the last stop at Xian Dian, go to the bust stop and wait for the 16-seat shuttle of the spa to pick you up. You will need to make a call to reserve your seat in advance, if not, there won’t be enough seats for everyone. Here in the pick-up schedule: 09:30am/ 11:00am / 12:40pm / 02:10pm / 03:30pm / 05:10pm / 07:30pm
The shuttle expense is 50TWD/person. It will take you around 20-25 minutes. Of course, this option is less tiring since you will have your own comfortable seat.
Phone number for booking your seat: +886-2-2661-6555

Most of the time, you have to make a reservation for hot spring bath because the resort needs time to prepare the room and other services.
The room and service prices here will make a lot of people feel dizzy. In particular, there are following types:
Overnight room
Overnight stay reservation and use of amenities with the lowest option at 14,000TWD/night and highest at 36,000TWD/night (really want to faint)

Hot spring bath reservation hourly
+ Kurhaus service – Public hot spring bath: The summer price stands at 750TWD/person – 850TWD/person. The room is large and clean, with a view of a beautiful blue lake. The most important thing is this public hot spring bath requires you to be naked, so consider a second time if you are a little shy about it. Once, there was a Vietnamese girl who was too embarrassed to take naked bath and wore her swimwear to enter the hot spring bath, and then other guests were upset and called the police to resolve the issue afterwards.
