Phuket travel blog — A wonderful Phuket itinerary 3 days 2 nights in the jade island of Thailand

Back in Patong, I spent some time visiting Phrom Thep – a wonderful place to watch the sunand to sit suspended in the silver purple space of the dying light between the mountains and the sea at dusk. Onshore breezes supply cool fresh air and in the distance, the boundless sea swallows the sun to signal the end of a day. Standing on top of Phrom Thep, you will feel your world really come into perspective.

On our final day, we wandered around the night market streets named Walking Patong to buy some souvenirs. I realised that Phuket has really become a global town becaall the stores, restaurants and supermarkets are managed by people from around the world. You can enjoy cuisine from the West to the East and even the cuisine of the Eskimos! As Phuket is now a tourist hot spot, the price has escalated to double or even triple the price of other areas of Thailand. I bought some postcards of Fanta Sea – a leading entertainment attraction in the country of orchids, which impressed me with its miraculous elephant tower circus.

Time flew unstoppably during my stay in Phuket. Before heading back to Sai Gon, I spent my last few moments at the beach trying to trace any signs of the tsunami that recently hit the island. Nothing was left to remind me of it, however, except a VCD priced at 300 baht sold by an Indian.

How to get to Phuket

You can fly to Phuket by plane on Thai Airways or Thai Air Asia. Two airlines have a direct route from Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh City) to Phuket with two flights per week.

In addition, it takes you about 14 hours to travel by bus from Bangkok to Phuket on an 800km road. It’s often chosen by visitors on discovery tours becaof good transportation, a cheap fare and many chances to experience the surroundings of the itinerary. In addition to taxi and bus, tourists can explore Phuket by Songthaeo or Tuk-Tuk for the City tour. However, the price for these rides in Phuket is more expensive than other tourist destinations in Thailand. Normally, you must pay about 200 baht to travel around Patong, about 230 baht to reach Karon or Kata beach, and about 300 baht to arrive at Nai Harn and Kamala. 1 baht is equivalent to $0.031.
