When is the best time to visit Singapore Zoo?
With such large-scale zoo, you should spend all day (about 18-20 hours) to visit by the complete way.The Singapore Zoo is a place that attracts crowds of tourists when they come to Singapore, especially at festivals, so you should book 3-4 days in advance to ensure your tickets are available for your family or friends.
You should begin your tour in morning around 8:30 am to enjoy the Jungle Breakfast, open from 9:00 to 10:30 each morning. For this “special” breakfast, you need to book 24 hours in advance to reserve a place and help the zoo staff serve. You will have breakfast with the wildlife. They can be orangutans which seem to be vicious cruel but extremely gentle or feed the elephants while the zoo staff is bathing for them.
In case you have breakfast at a hotel or restaurant in Singapore, you can start your trip at noon. But do not be too late when it is becoming sunset. Because you will probably miss a lot of shows here, and then, the time of the tour so tight that you are not comfortable at all!

The tourists often spend all day visiting this large zoo. Because of not only the day but at night, a very interesting and exciting tour will take place. This is a trip to see the animals in Night Safari. This is the first and only night zoo model in the world.
This strange trip will open at 19:30 every day and is very attractive to tourists although the price is slightly more than a day. You probably do not know, but over 90% of mammals are active at night. So the best time to see the beast is at night because this is the time when they are most active. You should bring the binoculars to see animals from far away. However, do not bring a flashlight or take a picture with the flash, because the light here is designed enough to observe that the animals do not recognize your presence, while the flash will only affect their instincts only.
You can buy your own Night Safari ticket if you do not have enough time or just want to see this special tour. In case you want to combine visit the zoo in the morning should buy the Combo package to save money.

You must absolutely stand within the safety line and do not touch the animals (unless permission of the zoo staff or signage). In the Singapore Zoo, there are hundreds of statues that simulate wildlife, and you can touch or take pictures comfortably without having to worry about it.
You also do not feed the animal. Because the mammals here have been carefully designed the meals, the addition of food to them inadvertently imbalances the diet. Not to mention, the act of throwing food at animals is not good at all, sometimes making them “misunderstood” that you are attacking them.
What do you need to note while carrying children with?
A zoo is always a place which attracts for the children. If you take your children on a trip to Singapore, the zoo is definitely not to be missed. You should watch them in all activities to avoid being lost, especially on the occasion of crowds. Not to mention, children are extremely hyperactive, they can touch whatever they are curious about. So keep an eye on the fact that it is never over. Please do not leave them out of the safety line!
When children are tired of going around to see the animals standing idle, take them to the circus with the hilariously fun stuff done by dancers who are wildlife. In addition, there are always interesting kids exchanges, such as the hula hoop. Surely the little things will keep them happy. There is also an amusement park dedicated to Rainforest Kidzworld children. Remember to bring swimwear, glasses for children!
In the park, there are special facilities for babies and infants. These are trolleys, the rent is about 9 SGD. In case your kids are a bit older, they are tired of walking after a long walk, and you are tired of carrying them, let’s rent a tow truck, at around SGD 15.
Food and souvenir: What is noteworthy?
There are many restaurants, cafes in the zoo, but most are self-service cafes. There are KFB, The Wild Deli, or Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop with basic items like Hainanese chicken rice, fried chicken, and Laska. There are the dessert fruits, ice cream, and pastries. The Icy Slush stores sell a lot of tasty, creamy ice cream in the park. But you can eat well before you start your journey to be able to walk sightseeing and save time, be more interested offline!
There are many souvenir shops on the premises, which are very cute gifts that are suitable to bring back from Singapore. Do not forget to choose a few items.
What should be prepared for the complete tour?
The tropical weather is quite unstable. You should bring sunglasses and sunscreen to avoid the harmful light when walking all day. And do not forget to bring your umbrella or buy poncho cloaks for sale outside of the zoo, in case of unexpected happenings. Insect repellent is also indispensable for the trip to the “pristine primeval forest” in the park more complete.
Although there is a signboard in the zoo, you should always carry a map with you to travel and save time. At the Singapore Zoo, people do not tear tickets but use an electronic table to control the tickets, so you also need to bring tickets alongside you throughout the journey. Do not throw it away to protect the environment, otherwise, you will be annoyed by the poor sense of littering indiscriminately in Singapore.
For a walk in the park, you should take a pair of slippers or a pair of sports shoes which are tidy and dynamic fit for you. You have to avoid wearing bulky shoes, high clogs that disrupt the journey.
In the park, the photographer is always there to give you the best shots, but you should bring your own camera to capture the moment and surprise throughout. Moreover, carrying a personal camera under can save a lot of money compared to having a photographer.
