I love pretty little cafes so much in Tokyo. I like the calmness, wise and delicate of the Japanese people. Through the smallest details, I can see Japanese people prefer minimalism and effective. The unnecessary will be discarded and leave only room for usefulness and happiness. By observing and researching, I learn many good things in the lifestyle of the people here. Love architecture, constructions, whether small or big. Because through that you will be enlightened, come to Harajuku to feel for yourself.
Strange Harajuku cafe: Cat Cafe MoCHA
Different from other cat cafes in Tokyo, Cat Cafe MoCHA in Harajuku area has an outstanding and bright interior design. With 4 big glass doors allow light to enter not only convenient for “kings and queens – cute cats” sunbathing but also create comfortable feeling for customers visiting here to chill and relax. Open space allows cats to run and play, which is why cats here are more approachable to humans and do not seem to be scared. This can be said to be the kingdom for male and female devotees who love cats.
There are a total of about 15 cats in the coffee shop, please note that you should only stroking and playing with them, do not hold them. Although it is a pet cafe, but the staff do very well in keeping the general hygiene, there will be no cat fur flying around and unpleasant smells that annoy customers. The service is really great. Cat food will be provided by the shop and will be controlled in a quantity. The cat’s meal time will be around 11AM so you should watch for the time to come and feeding the cats. Service price here will be about 200 yen ($1.86)/10 minutes. 350 yen ($3.25) for unlimited drinks and 500 yen ($4.64) for feeding the cats. The price includes tax already.

Harajuku Cafe Japan: Owl Cafe & Bar Owl Village
Owl Cafe has 2 branches, 1 in Harajuku area and another in Kichijoji area. However, the Harajuku branch received a certificate of excellence from TripAdvisor in 2017. It can be seen that the “hot” of the coffee shop with tourists and especially those who love animals is not small at all. A special feature of Japanese people is that they love pets and prefer pet-themed cafes. From cats, rabbits, goats, owls or even snakes … You will find some interesting things when you have the opportunity to visit.
If you are a fan of Harry Potter, surely you will not forget the image of the owl Hedwig specialist postman and often clash into the glass door, right? When coming to Owl Cafe & Bar Owl Village, you will be able to touch and feel the genuine version of the owl. I noted that you should touch slightly, “owls” are also very fragile. The staff at the shop will support customers during 35 minutes of playing with these cuteness overload owls. It is revealed that when you come here, you will receive a small souvenir gift. Prices will range from 2000 yen ($18.55) – 2500 yen ($23.18).
