The Most Convenient Way to Get to Disneyland Hong Kong
To get to the park, the most convenient and economical option you absolutely must try is taking the MTR subway. From the city center, simply take the MTR to Sunny Bay station, then transfer to the dedicated Disneyland Resort Line.
My personal experience was the moment I boarded the train: from the windows and handrails to the decorative statues inside, everything features the adorable Mickey Mouse head, making it feel like a journey back to childhood has begun right from the train.

As the boat rounded the first bend, a model elephant unexpectedly extended its trunk and sprayed water right next to the boat, startling everyone and eliciting cheers of delight. Deeper into the forest, thick mist obscured our vision, and the rhythmic drumming from the tribes hidden on either side made my heart race.

The experience that surprised me the most was sitting on the wooden boat of the Frozen Ever After ride – the facial expressions of Anna, Elsa, and Olaf were so lifelike thanks to the latest Animatronics robot technology, especially the sudden backward slide and plunge into the water when Elsa sang amidst the shimmering ice castle.
Right next to it, the Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs high-speed train provided an incredibly exhilarating feeling as it sped through the rocky canyons and snow-covered pine forests, the cool breeze blowing directly onto my face was incredibly refreshing.
Because this is the hottest area in the park with queues often reaching 60-90 minutes, my “hard-won” tip is to head straight here as soon as the park opens early in the morning or arrive 1-2 hours before the fireworks to avoid the crowds and have time to stop by Northern Delights to enjoy a cute snowflake-shaped pastry!

Stepping aboard a mine car through the pristine gold mining town, my excitement builds as the train slowly climbs the steepest slope. Just when it seemed the train would descend in the traditional way, the system unexpectedly snapped (as planned), and the train stalled and then hurtled backward at incredible speed into the pitch-black cave!
But that wasn’t all! The final burst of air-powered acceleration propelled the train forward to 72 km/h, causing everyone inside to cheer with excitement, the wind whipping against their faces – it was incredibly exhilarating. This is truly a perfect balance of surprise and just the right amount of thrill for the whole family.
Tip: This ride has a Single Rider lane (waiting line for solo travelers). If you’re traveling alone or don’t mind sitting next to someone, choose this lane to avoid long queues and get on the train in just 5-10 minutes!

But after experiencing it firsthand, all my preconceptions almost crumbled. Although the price of 130-180 HKD (approximately 400,000 – 550,000 VND) for a meal isn’t cheap, the chicken leg rice or ramen at Clopin’s Festival of Food are quite generous, well-seasoned, and provide enough energy for a long day of activity.
The biggest plus point that makes it “worth the money” is the super cute design of the snacks. Holding a waffle or ice cream shaped like Mickey Mouse’s head is enough for a perfect Disney-inspired check-in photo. Also, to avoid spending extra on expensive bottled water, you can simply bring an empty bottle and fill it with free water from the fountains located throughout the park.
