Singapore has always been one of the destinations that we have dreamed of visiting since our school days. This small island makes a strong impression with its modern, civilized and surprisingly clean lifestyle. Although it is located in Southeast Asia, Singapore still has its own unique energy with a fast development speed, order, safety and is extremely friendly to those who are traveling abroad for the first time.

If you are also preparing to go to Singapore for the first time but don’t know what to eat, what to do, how much it costs, then refer to our 4-day, 4-night itinerary!
Although we were scheduled to land at 5:00 p.m., we had to wait until almost 7:00 p.m. to leave Changi Airport. After completing the procedures, the group stopped by the counter to receive the 4G SIM card that had been pre-booked on Klook and then moved to the hostel to check in. The first evening, we planned to eat Tian Tian chicken rice at Maxwell, but because we arrived late, the restaurant was closed.

So we changed to another chicken rice restaurant right in the food center area for only 5 SGD but it was surprisingly delicious. After eating, it was quite late and everyone was tired, so the group went back to rest to save energy for the next day.
Singapore trip itinerary 4 days — Day 1: Sentosa Island – Universal Studios Singapore – Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony
Take the train to Sentosa Island

In the morning, we ate at the hostel, then went to Universal Studios Singapore (USS) – located on Sentosa Island. To get to USS, you take the train to Harbourfront Station and then walk to Vivo City.
Go to the 1st floor and you will see a sign with instructions on how to get to Sentosa. There are 3 ways to get to Sentosa: take the Sentosa Express train, cable car or walk. You should walk because the road to see the beautiful scenery. Every 100 meters you will have 100 “million-like” photos. Walk about 10 minutes to get to Sentosa.
Visit Universal Studios Singapore

Please note that Universal opens at 10am. However, you should still go early if you want to take pictures with the iconic globe in front of USS. The reason is that by 9:30am, there will be quite a lot of people here, so it will be difficult to take good pictures.
If you have booked Universal Studios Singapore tickets in advance on KLOOK, when you arrive, you just need to show the email with the electronic voucher to the staff to scan, you do not need to queue to buy tickets, which is both time-consuming and more expensive.
There are many games to play at Universal Studios Singapore, you should spend a whole day here to play all the games. The game areas that we like the most at Universal are:

Jurassic Park: At Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure, you will be able to take a boat along the water and see beautiful dinosaur models, but remember to bring a raincoat, because when playing this game, 90% of you will get wet.
Revenge of the Mummy: This game is like a roller coaster but goes in the dark, quite interesting and also a bit scary.
Transformer the Ride: Visitors will be able to ride a roller coaster, wear 3D glasses and experience it like a real character in the Transformer movie. This is the game that I like the most at USS, I really want to go back a second time even though the queue to play is very long (nearly 50 minutes).

Universal Studios Singapore Ticket
Besides the game, inside USS there are also many very attractive performances. When entering the gate, you should get a guide that will clearly state the show times; in which, Water Show is the best program in our opinion.
Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony Fireworks Show
At around 5pm, our group took the Sentosa Express train from Waterfront Station to Beach Station to prepare to watch Wings of Time (renamed Wings Of Time Fireworks Symphony with fireworks lasting 4 times longer). Note that the Sentosa Express will take you to all locations in Sentosa completely free of charge.

The Wings of Time Fireworks Symphony water music show starts at 7:40pm; if possible, find a seat in the middle to see it most clearly. This show only lasts for 1 hour but is really special, an activity not to be missed when traveling to Singapore on your own.

At the end of the day, our group took the train back to Waterfront Station and then transferred to the Sentosa Express train to return to Vivo City. The train from Vivo City to Sentosa will cost a fee, but from Sentosa back to Vivo City will be free.
Day 2: Sentosa Island – Southernmost Point Of The Continental Asia – Fort Siloso Sky Walk – Singapore Oceanarium – Gardens By The Bay
Sentosa Beach Walk

Sentosa Island is so big that one day of exploration is not enough, so on the second day we decided to return to continue the journey. The first stop is Southernmost Point of Continental Asia, which is considered the southernmost point of mainland Asia. The way to get there is very simple: just take the train from Waterfront Station to Beach Station.

Giant Swing at Skypark Sentosa
Sentosa has a free tram that runs along the beaches, which is extremely convenient. From Beach Station, just take the tram to Palawan Beach and walk a little further to get there. This area is absolutely beautiful with blue water, blue sky, and peaceful scenery like stepping into a painting. The best thing is that it is completely free, so remember to stop by! After a morning of sightseeing and taking pictures, we continued to Siloso Point station. There is a Sky Walk here that is quite interesting and completely free.
Visit the Singapore Oceanarium (Formerly S.E.A Aquarium)

From Fort Siloso, take the tram back to Beach Station. Then, take the train back to Waterfront Station and walk about 5 minutes to reach the Singapore Oceanarium. After playing at the aquarium until about 5 pm, we returned to Chinatown Complex Food Center for dinner. Nearby is People’s Park, which is also a kind of Food Court, selling a lot of milk tea and the food is also super delicious.
Buy Souvenirs and Visit Gardens By The Bay
From Chinatown Complex, you can walk to Valu$ store to buy cheap sweets or souvenirs. This store is located in the shopping mall, selling many types of sweets with the same price from 1 SGD to 3 SGD (17,000 VND – 51,000 VND).

After that, we took the MRT Downtown line to Bayfront Station to explore Gardens by the Bay. Because it was past 7pm, the group only went to the Super Trees area to watch the light show, not to the Flower Dome or Cloud Forest.

Every night at 7:45pm, there will be an OCBC Garden Rhapsody show lasting about 15 minutes, completely free but extremely eye-catching. Nearby, Marina Bay Sands also regularly performs water music at 8:00pm and 9:00pm, free of charge, and is so spectacular that you can watch it many times without getting bored.

Day 3: Lion Park – Flower Dome – Cloud Forest – River Safari
Merlion Park

Instead of taking the MRT to Merlion Park in the morning, our group decided to take the River Taxi. The fare from Clark Quay to Lion Park is $5 (about VND 90,000). You can use the NETS FlashPay card to pay like taking the train. In the cool morning, taking a boat along the river and enjoying the scenery is a very poetic experience.
The Singapore River is located between modern high-rise buildings and hundreds of years of architecture in the lion island. A very harmonious beauty between tradition and modernity. The next destination after Lion Park is the famous DNA-simulated bridge Helix Bridge, Flower Dome and Cloud Forest in Gardens By The Bay. The Helix Bridge is located along Bayfront Avenue. The bridge is designed with DNA-inspired architecture, connecting Esplanade to The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
Flower Dome & Cloud Forest

Gardens by the Bay Ticket in Singapore
Flower Dome, the name that you just hear, you can guess that inside this area there are countless beautiful flowers. The natural colors of the flowers combined with the unique decorations are a “super huge” plus point for Flower Domes. To take care of many precious flowers, the temperature in Flower Dome is quite low, so you should bring a jacket.

Cloud Forest is also a quite prominent greenhouse area, with a beautiful artificial waterfall. Remember to charge your camera to confidently “live virtual”! At about 3:00 p.m., we took the bus to River Safari Zoo. The road was quite far and the traffic was heavy, so it took about 60 minutes to get there.
River Safari Wildlife Park
River Wonders Ticket | Mandai Wildlife Reserve, Singapore
The reason we chose River Safari is because this is the “home” of two super cute pandas that everyone who comes wants to meet once. Besides the panda area, my favorite place is Amazon River Quest – a boat ride on the Amazon River, taking you through many areas to see wild animals in a semi-natural environment.
Day 4: Little India – Arab Street – Haji Lane

On our last day in Singapore, we only chose places close to each other so that it would be convenient to return to the hotel to check out before going to the airport. And so the whole group turned to Haji Lane – a famous art street with colorful murals, perfect for those who love to take “cool” photos. The evenings here are even more bustling with live music, small bars and colorful lights, creating a very romantic and artistic atmosphere.

Right next to it is Arab Street, where there is a mosque with extremely impressive architecture. This area is also a “paradise” for souvenirs because the prices are much more affordable than Bugis Street, so feel free to shop until you’re satisfied and then make an appointment with Singapore another time!

Finally, we said goodbye to Singapore with a great chilli crab meal at Newton Food Centre. One crab cost 35 SGD (about 600,000 VND) and was quite delicious. After finishing the crab, we still had time, so our group stopped by Ah Chew Dessert. This place sells delicious desserts at reasonable prices, from 4-7$ (70,000 VND to 130,000 VND).
