Singapore

There are many cheap flights from Vietnam to Singapore and it takes less than 2 hours if departing from Ho Chi Minh City and more than 3 hours if departing from Hanoi. Therefore, if you choose an early flight, the whole family will still have a whole day to explore the most prominent places in Singapore. First, let’s find out how we can get to the city center from Changi Airport!
By MRT

Changi Airport MRT station at Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. The MRT system operates from Changi Airport starting at 5:19 AM and ending at 11:51 PM every day of the week.
How to take the MRT from Changi Airport to the city center:
- From Terminal 1: Take the Airport’s Skytrain to Terminal 2, then go to the basement to find the MRT station.
- From Terminal 4: Take the free shuttle bus from Exit 1 of Terminal 4 to Terminal 2, then go to the basement to find the MRT station.
Alternatively, you can buy tickets at the Passenger Service counter or MRT ticket vending machines. However, if you plan to use the MRT multiple times during your trip, purchasing an EZ-Link card will save you time and money.
Singapore NETS FlashPay Travel Card

The MRT fare from Changi Airport to the city centre (Zone 1) is SGD 2.30 (approx. VND 38,000) if you use an EZ-Link card or other similar card. If you do not have a card, you can purchase a temporary ticket (Standard Ticket) from the ticket machines at the airport or at MRT stations for SGD 2.50 (approx. VND 42,000).
By bus
Go to the bus stops in the basement of Terminal 1 and 2 (for Terminal 4, the bus stop is next to Carpark 4B) and then take bus 36 or 36A to the city.
The bus ride from the airport to the city centre takes around 1 hour and costs SGD 1.84 (approx. VND 30,000) via EZ-link card; SGD 2.50 (approx. VND 41,000) in cash. Both cash and EZ-link cards are accepted on the bus.
However, it will take quite a while to get there. Although the bus only stops at a few central areas, including Suntec City Mall, Esplanade Road, Somerset and Orchard Road, the journey can still take 1-2 hours.
By taxi

There are many different taxi companies at the airport to choose from. All taxis in Singapore are metered, so no need to worry about negotiating a price! A taxi ride into the city will take around 30-60 minutes and cost around SGD 20-40.
Airport taxi fares are based on a fixed rate of SGD 3, plus service and travel charges.
Changi Airport taxi services operate 24/7. However, if you want to travel during peak hours (6am to 9am or 6pm to 9pm), you will have to pay around 25% more than the standard fare.
