Notes When Enjoying Delicious Thai Food

Thai cuisine is famous for its unique spicy, sweet and sour flavors, attracting tourists from all over the world. However, to have the most complete enjoyment experience, you should note the following things.

  • Due to the use of a lot of chili in processing, Thai dishes often have a characteristic spicy taste. When ordering, you should carefully ask about the level of spiciness to suit your taste. Most restaurants can adjust the amount of chili according to the customer’s request.
  • Lemongrass, chili, and lime leaves are common ingredients in Thai cuisine, creating a unique flavor for dishes.
  • Some Thai dishes use fresh seafood, you should be careful if you are allergic or cannot eat seafood.
  • Shrimp paste is used in some Thai dishes and has a quite strong flavor. If you don’t like it, you can ask the restaurant to replace it with another spice.
  • Thai people use spoons and forks to eat and drink, not chopsticks like Vietnam. Thai dishes are often eaten with dipping sauce, you can share a bowl of dipping sauce with others.
  • Tipping is not required, but you can reward the staff if you are satisfied with the service.
  • You should also choose reputable restaurants to ensure food hygiene and safety.
