Nami Island travel guide: How to get to Nami Island?
Nami is located in the middle of the Northern Han River, and looking from above, Nami Island is like a half-moon shaped boat that prominent on the poetic of Cheonpyeong River. Nami Island is located about 60km from the south of Seoul city, you can easily get here by bus, train or subway, with travel time of more than 1 hour. To reach the island, you can go by ferry (ferry runs every 30 minutes and run on the river, so it’s refreshing and cool), or experience the thrills with Nami Skyline ZipWire ZipRider cable car crossing the Cheonpyeong River to reach the island (literally is “hang”, guys, haha).
By Shuttle Bus
The best way to get to Nami Island is to take the Shuttle Bus, which is chosen by many travelers. The Shuttle Bus parked in Insadong, next to Tapgol park, it has a white banner with the words “Insadong-namiseom”. The shuttle bus departs at 9:30 am. Travel time is from 45 to 60 minutes. The return trip from Nami Island departs at 4 pm, travel time is about 1 hour or 1 hour and half depending on traffic situation. The round-trip tickets cost 15.000 won ($12.34), and entry fee + 10 minutes ferry ride cost about 8.500 won ($6.99). By Subway
Take the Gyeongchun Line to the Gapyeong station, it takes about 90 to 120 minutes from Seoul to Gapyeong station with ticket price of 4.600 won ($3.79).
By ITX train
From Seoul Station, take the line 1 (dark blue) to Cheongnyangni Station or Yongsan Station. After arriving at Cheongnyangni station, change the train to ITX train to Gapyeong Station (in Nami Island). ITX train is Chuncheon High Speed Train. So, you can use T-Money card (the card for metro or bus ) to get free ride or buy single ticket, with a fare of 4.300 won ($3.55), the travel time about 40 minutes. If you depart from Yongsan Station, the travel time about 55 minutes, with a ticket price of 4.800 won (3.96).

Getting from Gapyeong Station to the ferry wharf
After exit Gapyeong Station, there are 3 popular types of vehicles that can take you to the ferry wharf (about 10 minutes away): Public bus, Circle tour bus (tour buses getting around tourist attractions of the island, unlimited during the day) and taxi.
Circle tour bus: Ticket price is 6.000 won ($4.94)/ticket, you can buy tickets directly from the bus driver or pay with T-Money card. There is an information booth here, you can ask for information, bus map, and bus schedules, which will be more convenient for sightseeing.
Public bus: Ticket price is 1.250 won ($1.03)/person/one way.
Taxi: If your time is tight and do not want to wait, you can take a taxi for about 5.000 won ($4.12)/one way, to get to the ferry wharf.
Buy ferry tickets to get to the island
Bus drop guests at the welcome gate, from here it is a 2 minute walk to the ferry wharf to buy tickets to the island.
