Things to do when arriving at Incheon Airport, Seoul (South Korea)
Things to do when arriving at Incheon Airport in Seoul I will have a very detailed post later. But in this article I will say a few ideas for you to easily visualize and understand how is your schedule. There are 3 things you need to do when you arrive at the airport for convenient for your journey:
1. Buy a 4G SIM Card or 4G wifi pocket at Incheon Airport
Because at the airport you will be able to connect to the airport’s Free Wifi, but out of the airport, you will no longer be able to connect to the world. So, the first thing you need to do after landing at the airport is to buy a 4G SIM card to installs to your phone to use. I used 4G Sim of KT Telecom, counter number 31-32 at L1 floor, at the exit door of the airport. Because of the 8 days itinerary in Korea, I chose the 4G Sim service with a 10-day use term, unlimited data with 4G LTE speed. You can buy a 4G SIM Card in advance via Klook for less than $3 with 5-day and 10-day packages, when arrive you just need show the Voucher (that sent via your email) and get the Sim to use. Staff will show you how to register and active. You can also buy 4G Sim at convenient stores such as 7 Eleven at the Arrival Hall (1st floor), Terminal 2 of Incheon Airport. Also, you can buy 4G wifi and pick up at the airport here.
2. Send your luggage directly to the hotel to go out without checking in.
Arriving at the airport at 9am, you need to spend a minimum of 2 hours to return to the hotel to send your luggage, and also do not allow check in early (Seoul hotels allow Check-in time from 2pm or 3pm). So I used Safex Airport Luggage Services Seoul service. This is the best service and extremly wonderful that I ever experienced. Ie to the airport, you bring all the checked baggage for the service, they will take the luggage to the hotel where you stay, you from the airport can freely go out until the evening and then return to the hotel Check-in later with luggage available at the hotel. The price is also quite cheap, only $6, you will see how your money is used effectively, I guaranteed!Arriving at the airport at 9am, you need to spend a minimum of 2 hours to return to the hotel to send your luggage, and also do not allow check in early (Seoul hotels allow Check-in time from 2pm or 3pm). 3. Buy AREX train tickets to Seoul Station
After buying a 4G SIM card, you should buy the AREX fast train tickets to moving from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station, the travel time is very fast, only 43 minutes at an unbelievably cheap price: $6 (You can also buy in advance via Klook for convenience, it’s cheaper than $1). In Korea with $6, it is only equivalent to a very normal meal (about 7.000 won).
8 days in Korea — Day 1: Wandering around Seoul for the first day in traditional Hanbok costume
There is an interesting thing that if you wear a Hanbok – The traditional Korean costume, you will get free admission to the palaces or attractions. You can go to Oneday Hanbok (Address: 4 Bukchon-ro 5-gil, Jae-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea / Hours: 9AM–7PM / Phone: +82 70-4202-4310) – near Anguk Station subway station to rent a Hanbok for 4 hours or 24 hours to strolling round Seoul.
1PM – You can lunch after traveling by AREX train from the airport to Seoul Station, then go to Oneday Hanbok at 1pm, try and rent Hanbok for 4 hours, finish at 5pm, then return to the hotel to check-in (the check-in hours for hotels in Korea are from 2pm to 3pm). Then, preparing for the evening at N Seoul Tower (Namsan Tower) is both suitable and healthy. The 4 hour of Hanbok hiring schedule here you can visit some main tourist attractions in Seoul, because Oneday Hanbok is very close to the main attractions such as Bukchon Hanok Village (must go); Gyeongbokgung Royal Palace (should go); Cheonggyecheon Stream (may visit later, but it near the Gyeongbokgung palace); National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (this place is also very virtual photography spot, next to the stone wall of Gyeongbokgung); Changgyeonggung Palace.. You should take taxi to move beetween these places to save energy, each time get on and get off the taxi is only 3.000 won.
Dinner at N Seoul Tower
7PM – After completing a walk around the city with Hanbok, check in hotel, take a bath, you go to N Seoul Tower at 7pm for dinner. Stop at Myeong-dong Subway Station, then walk for about 15 minutes to the cable car ticket counter, buy roundtrip tickets for 8.500 won. That day I bought Combo N Seoul Tower: Observatory + N Burger (the big Buger and the delicious fries). If you buy Combo, it will be more economical than retail buy from outside, if you like you can choose the Combo N Seoul Tower from Klook.
8 days in South Korea — Day 2: Everland
The first day I had to be traveled from 2am when flying from Vietnam to South Korea, operating continuously until the late night so I knew I would be tired, so the second day in Seoul, I wanted to sleep a little more to recover. So I chose my journey to explore Everland Theme Park. Simply, because Everland is open at 10am, so you can sleep comfortably until 9:30am and start departing to Everland also OK.
10AM – You can buy the Everland ticket in advance here to get discount from $48 to $31/day. I see Korean friends who also bought tickets in advance for cheaper than buying directly and not having to queue. There are four activities in Everland that you should play: T-Express – this is a roller coaster, very exciting, has appeared on Running Man before. I recommend you queue to play this game; Lost Valley – this activity allows you to ride on land and underwater to see wildlife living on Everland’s campus; Safari World – you also sit in a wire mesh wrapped vehicle to see the natural life of wild animals like the tigers, lions, bears hunting.. quite interesting. And the last one I have not tried, because Everland is too large, that is Amazon Express – You can explore it and let me know.
HOT promotion that I has just updated, guys, there is currently a Combo with up to 37% discount for Everland 1 Day with Bus Tickets departing from Seoul. That means you will have one more option to make your journey to Everland easier. When purchasing this Combo package on Klook, you will receive a voucher worth 5.000 KRW and T-express Q-pass when you redeem Everland tickets via Klook.
Evening: Nanta Show
8PM – This is the start time of the Nanta Show – A show that makes everyone laugh very comfortably when they come to Korea. Nanta Show, also known as Cooking Show – A show of chefs’s performance with knives, pots and pans … is a combination of the sound of kitchen appliances, food processing, music and the humor of actors … You can buy tickets at Nanta Show here for $7 off compared to buying tickets directly and definitely have a seat.
8 days itinerary in Korea — Day 2: Explore Nami Island
9:30AM – Bus will waiting for you near Myeong-dong station at Shinsegae Duty Free Myeongdong. You can reserve tickets to getting to Nami Island with the shuttle bus service at Klook. Actually, I don’t know where to buy this tickets directly, I couldn’t find it, but when search on Google, I found the service on Klook very good, you can pre-order the Combo for both Nami Island entry tickets and the round trip shuttle bus. I just need to pay and then go to the bus stop and go. The service very punctual. You spend a day exploring Nami Island and catch the bus to return to Seoul at 4pm or 5 pm, there are 2 time options for you to choose from.
Evening: Take the KORAIL train to Busan
8PM – Use the Korea Rail Pass (KR PASS or KORAIL) service to take KTX fast train from Seoul to Busan, the departure point is Seoul Station, and the stop is Busan Station. Very convenient with continue moving afterwards. I will have a guide for you to use this service in detail, but if you only need to travel from Seoul to Busan according to your Korea budget travel itinerary, you can buy 1–day ticket (1 Day Pass).
Arrive at Busan Station around 10pm, you can move to the hotel to rest to prepare for the Busan journey early in the morning tomorrow.
South Korea itinerary 8 days — Day 4: Busan
This is a journey I have very satisfied in the South Korea itinerary 8 days and would like to introduce to you, actually, before I came to Busan, I did not know where to go because there was too little information on Google. By searching, I also found a one day tour to explore Busan on Klook. Of course, you will visit the most beautiful and worthwhile places in Busan. You can book this tour like me here or self traveling to the tourist attractions I will mention below.
8AM – First you will discover: Haedong Yonggungsa Temple – this is a temple located on the east coast of the city of Busan. Impressive with bell towers erected by placing many small stones stacked on each other, solid on the beach. This is also a temple for couples to beg their children when they touch the belly of the buddha statue on the way to the main gate.
Next, the journey will take you to: Taejongdae Resort Park. This is an area with many beautiful scenes in Busan, is a place not to be missed when you come to this bustling port city. From here, you can admiring the Korean War Monument of the countries when they send their soldiers to support Korea during the war. Going deeper you will see the Observation Deck to observe the spectacular view of the vertical cliffs on the coast. Don’t forget to climb Lighthouse or Taejongsa Temple in this place.
