Yonghe soy milk
Experience of having breakfast like the Taiwanese for once at Ximending, why not? Instead of just eating buffet served at the hotel, let’s wake up a little earlier. You can dress up and step outside to enjoy the morning air of Taipei. You will see how people line up to wait for their turn, then happily receive the soy milk cup in their hands. A simple breakfast is just a glass of soy milk served with egg rolls, buns with multiple filling flavors, or a hot bowl of steamed dumpling soup.
The restaurant specializes in breakfast dishes, which has the price ranging from 20 TWD – 60 TWD depending on the dish. If you go out to eat alone, 40 TWD is enough for you to be full. Let’s enjoy a full breakfast even though you are traveling.

Ay-Chung rice noodles
Overwhelmed with crowded lines, everyone wants to try the chewy rice noodles with rich and savory soup as soon as possible. The noodle here is the regular chewy rice noodle we used to eat at home, but the special thing is that although it is so crispy and tough, it blends really well with the bone marrow broth. It is spectacular to serve together with coriander and pork intestine, especially having the noodles on a cool temperate day. There is nothing better than that.
We encourage you to try a small size paper cup with the price of 55 TWD if you are having the noodles for the first time. Although it looks a little small, it can surely fill your stomach. If you are still not satisfied then with the second round, go for a large paper cup at 70 TWD. After holding the noodles in your hand, let’s head to the spice bar. Here, we have 3 choices: chili oil (satay), garlic and vinegar. Reminder that chilies are quite hot so if you are not a fan of spicy food, you can skip this section.
