When I came here, I realized that Prague was indeed much more than that. In addition to the architecture and cuisine which has always been hailed, you will find that Prague has the mysterious features of a city still harbouring a “Soviet atmosphere”. When visiting Prague, you must drink a large beer, enjoy the coffee on the “dancing building” and especially go to fortune tellers.

See the city from “The dancing house”

Enjoying a cup of coffee on the high floor of “the dancing house” is one of the most exciting experiences in Prague. The appeal of the building is not only its curious architecture and “perspective distortion”, but also its variety of services which we can we can explore and experience when coming inside.

Go to fortune tellers in Prague

Actually, the main reason why people go to fortune tellers in Prague is not to know about their destiny, but to experience the mysterious and ghostly space of this spiritual culture. The “astrologers” or the fortune teller gypsy with headscarf waiving hands over crystal ball will make your journey more interesting. Go into the narrow alleys and you will easily find specific directions to these “fortune teller gypsies”.

Watch the sunset on the Charles Bridge

This is the most famous place of Prague that you shouldn’t miss when coming to this city. Prague is well-known for its numerous bridges over the beautiful Vltava River, but Charles Bridge is considered to be the most ancient and prominent bridge. It was built in 1342 resting on 16 vaults of the different span and decorated with 16 religious statues. When the sunset falls, you should stand on the bridge with your love because the moment the sun ray at the end of the day hits the bricks making the bridge shine bright is undoubtedly the most romantic moment in this life, which is just unimaginable. It is for this reason that Prague is known as the “golden city”.

Try a beer at U Fleku

U Fleku is a famous address on Krememcova street. This is the ancient pub of the Czech established in 1499. The special thing here is that they only sell a kind of black beer cooked on their own. Czech beer, in general, or Prague beer, in particular, is no longer simple refreshments. The Czechs considered beer as a precious asset of the country and a national pride, even more than Germany.

There will be an old quarter in any city in Europe. The interesting thing when coming to European civilization is the chance to discover its long history through the architecture and customs of the people. You can find and experience both of these when coming to the old town. In Prague, the astrological clock tower displays 12 zodiacal signs which are an interesting highlight for visitors. A souvenir photo at the foot of the tower will be not a bad idea.

Visit the widest ancient castle in the world

If you love architecture, especially Gothic architecture, this will be a place you should not ignore. Each dome is designed and meticulously elaborated to tell you the story of the heroic, epic, woeful and majestic history of this city.
