Koh Phangan Northwest Beaches
North West is known for its beautiful beaches, charming sunsets, and the best diving and swimming sites. This area has many good quality resorts and restaurants. It is a great option if you want to find yourself a quiet space to relax.
Haad Yao
Haad Yao (or Hat Yao) is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and it is even considered the most beautiful beach in Thailand. It has the coast is one kilometer and located in the northwest of Koh Phangan. This is an ideal place for beach activities, water sports, and beach small parties. There are many good resorts and cozy restaurants. Prices range from low to high.
Mae Haad and Salad Haad (#best beaches in koh phangan)
Both two beaches Mae Had and Had Salad are so beautiful, located in the northwest of Koh Phangan. With the space to relax with much marine fish and white sand is many great things which you can explore when traveling here. You will also find many small shops and restaurants in the town.
Chalok Lum
Chalok Lum is located in the north of the island’s center, formerly known a small fishing village and now it is still a fishing center with a lot of fishing boats. Fishermen here often catch small squid (Thai called plamuk) and dried on the shelf next to the yard and wharf.
Koh Phangan Northeast Beaches
The northeastern part of Koh Phangan Island is surrounded by jungle and is known for its relaxing space and separated away from the hustle things. There are many beautiful bays which are separated with the most luxurious resorts and resorts on the island found here.
Had Khuat
The Chaloklum, with a short walking road, takes you to Had Khuat Paradise (English called Bottle Beach). If you want to avoid going through this short mangrove forest, you can take a small ship between the beaches. The beaches are very impressive but in its location, this is not the best choice for those who want to watch the sunrise and sunset at sea.
Thong Nai Pan Noi – Thong Nai Pan Yai
These are two very beautiful beaches located on the northeast side of the island. The road that takes you to this place of the ship looks like a dirt road, a little hard to move. Although the number of tourists has increased here, you will find very few seats or vendors serving visitors here.
From Haad Rin, you can come here by boat, going very slowly but safely.
Koh Phangan Southwest Beaches
Southwest is a good choice for those who want to enjoy the nightlife in quiet space. This is the central location to explore the island and there are many quality resorts for you to choose.
Ao Ban Tai and Ao Ban Khai
Ao Ban Tai and Ao Ban Khai are two long beaches located on the southwest coast of Koh Phangan.They have a very strange vision, especially at sunset. Both beaches are ideal for walking on the beach with views of Koh Samui.
These two beaches are also a good option to stay if you are attending the Full Moon Party and want to stay in a quiet space (quieter than Had Rin). You will easily go by motorbike, scooter or car (or catch a taxi) and if you like to do exercise, you can walk to Haad Rin for an or two hours. Haad Rin
Haad Rin is located on a small peninsula in the southeastern of Koh Phangan and is the central point of the famous Full Moon Party with its interesting nightlife. From Haad Rin, you can walk to Leela Beach (Haad See Kantang), which is a quite place.
Haad Rin Nok and Haad Rin Nai
The most famous beach on Koh Phangan is Haad Rin and it consists of two beaches.
Had Rin Nok is located on the southeastern side of the island and it is considered one of the best beaches on Phangan Island because it is wide and has white sand. It has become very popular over the years and now, with so many restaurants, bars, and resorts located next to the beach. The famous Full Moon Party is held every month with about 10,000 people (and in the New Year’s party of up to 30,000 people).
Haad Rin Nai is located on the southwestern side of the island and is called “The Sunset Beach”. You can take boat and ferry from Koh Samui, Koh Tao and the mainland to get here.
Haad Yuan
Haad Yuan (or: Hat Yuan) in the southeast of Koh Phangan, 3 km north of Haad Rin. This beach gives you a very quiet space especially for those who have spent a week in Haad Rin and want to find a more peaceful space.
