Haenyeo is the name for women divers on Jeju Island. Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak

Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak or Seongsan Sunrise Peak, which was recognized by Unesco as a world cultural heritage in 2007, is an underground volcano rising from the seabed in the eruption more than 100.000 years ago. From Seongsan Sunrise Peak, you will see surrounding mouth of the mountain is 99 surrounding sharp rocks that look like a giant crown that Mother Nature dropped.

Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak is the ideal place to watch the sun rise. Almost all visitors come here looking forward to a try to feel welcome the first rays of the day.

Jongdalri Shore Road

On the way to Manjanggul Cave, you will pass through the beautiful Jongdalri Road. Sometimes you will pass through Hado Beach & Saehwa beach with clear blue water and shimmering golden rays, sometimes satisfied with the colorful hydrangea bushes blooming on both sides of the road. You can stop to take photos with the sea and flowers, make sure you will have so many beautiful pictures.

Explore Manjanggul Cave

Being recognized by Unesco as the most beautiful cave system in the world, Manjanggul cave is a tunnel of molten lava formed in the period from 200.000 to 300.000 years ago. When you visiting the cave, do not ignore the Turtle Stone, the tallest lava column in the world or discover the shelter of bats. You should bring a jacket, because the temperature in the cave is lower than the outside, so it will be quite cold and there is always leakage of water from the cave ceiling. The whole trip to explore the cave will take about 45 minutes by foot.
