Tickets can be bought online in advance or purchased at the entrance of the park. Our advice is you should pre-order online because otherwise you will have to queue a long line in front of the ticket counter, just waiting to buying tickets. It is always so because this park is extremely “hot” during summer days. Note, June, July is the time students in the summer vacation, in August they will re-enter the school, so in these two months, the queue will more longer.

There are also combo tickets: Entrance + Restaurant and Entrance + Shopping (You will be given a coupon if you buy in Ocean Park)
Ocean Park Hong Kong blog: What to do & things to do in Ocean Park?
Ocean Park Hong Kong is divided into two main areas, The Waterfront (right at the entrance) and The Summit (the area with gliders and adventure games). The Summit is located on the top of the mountain so it is not possible to walk from The Waterfront, the only way to go is by cable car or express train ride of the park.
Cable car: Anyone afraid of altitude, this is not the right way, but the view from the cable car looked down is so beautiful, from here you can see the sea, mountain view, spectacular scenery. One way up or down is about 10 minutes, very cool.
Ocean Express train: Very fast. It takes a few minutes to get there.
Tips: You should go up by express train, down by cable car. The reason is that waiting for the cable car take a long time, while the train will be faster (because a train trip carries many people at the same time).
The Waterfront
When entering Ocean Park, you will start at the Waterfront. Here you can take part in a journey of discovering animals through a number of themed exhibitions. It is home to some of the most famous treasures from Sichuan: panda and golden monkeys. There are also other rare animals such as red panda, giant salamanders and Chinese crocodiles.
Grand Aquarium
The Aquarium in Aqua water city is one of the top 10 aquariums in the world, with more than 5000 individuals from 400 species in a three-tiered aquarium, surely will bring you a whole new experience. Extremely impressive. You will be walking in the glass tunnels to see the fish swimming right next to yourself. If you visit the aquarium in the afternoon, you will see Symbio, a water music show taking place on a giant lagoon just outside the aquarium.
Asian Animals
This area is located between Grand Aquarium & Whisker’s Harbour. There are a lot of typical Asian animals such as crocodile (very bad face and often irritating), red butt monkey, … But the “vedette” here still is two very cute panda bear, you will fall in love at first sight, but they will not move much haha, they are super lazy, almost sleeping all over. Nearby there are some otters with very funny faces.
Whisker’s Harbor
Teenagers would love this place because of games, stalls, an artificial cliff to climb, and even a mini stage, “meet & exchange relations” with some sea lions and their partners. These guys are quite skilled and bold.
Old Hong Kong
This area is like a small street that sell a lot of local food and souvenirs. I do not know why this area has a ferris wheel, is it related, right? Strolling along the streets of Old Hong Kong with its unique culture features, reminiscent of the familiar memories of childhood movies. At the same time, kids can enjoy camouflage games or enjoying some Ferris wheel rounds.
The Summit
At the top of the mountain you will be able to find many different zones including Marine World, Polar Adventure, Thrill Mountain and Adventure Land. Experience Ocean Park Hong Kong is not to miss the absolute attractions below:
Polar Adventure
Polar Adventure is home to countless different attractions. In this area there are North Pole Encounters and South Pole Spectacular, where you can explore the animals living in both pole regions such as sea lions, walrus and emperor penguins. While you are there, make sure you check out the Arctic Wolf Den exhibition. This exhibition will give you a deeper knowledge about the life of these fantastic animals as well as penetrate into their environment living natural habitat, very real and deep.
Ocean Theatre
Ocean Theater is located in the Marine World, if you want to see the ocean shows must come here. Ocean Theater performs three times a day with the residents of Marine World and their coaches. The best is the dolphin show and their partners (sea lions, beavers, seals). Actually these shows are meaningful and want to convey to viewers the importance of protecting marine life. More intuitive, easier to understand, easier to remember.
