Kaohsiung itinerary blog: Day 2: Pier 2 Art Center – Xi Zi – Sun Yat Sen University – XinJueJiang night market

To prepare for the next day in Taipei, the second day in Kaohsiung with City tour only. Kaohsiung also has convenient MRT system like Taipei, and it is very simple because there are only two lines: red and orange. The most beautiful MRT Kaohsiung that is the station between two lines – Fomosa Boulevard (R10 / O5), so if you have to pass through this station, you should not miss.

Pier 2 Art Center

The launch site for Day 2 is the Pier 2 Art Center, which was rebuilt on a warehouse near the port. This is a very cute art form from the installation of the small architecture, to the painting on the wall outside the warehouse. Depending on the stage, there will be exhibitions with different themes, but for sure, the theme is very attractive. For the saints like to take pictures magically, this place is a real paradise.

This area is located in orange MRT line, YanChengPu station (O2) – Exit 1, then you walk on Dayong Road about 5 pm south to Pier 2 Art Center.

Sun Yat Sen University

After taking eight thousand photos at the Pier 2 Art Center, you can go to Sun Yat-Sen University (Sun Yat Sen University). This is a well-known school in Taiwan but also has a very nice location, one side is mountain and another side is sea, here is also known as XiZiWan (Hangzhou Bay). Hire a green Ubike bike from the MRT station, then stroll around the Xi Zi Area, you can also ride a bicycle on SunYat Sen campus or take a breath of fresh sea air. You can easily meet the street snack stalls, but try Bingsoo (ice cream with fruit) in the area near the ferry boat. By the end of the day, SunYat Sen Beach is adjacent to the beach, which is the ideal place for both tourists and locals. In particular, sand in this sea is naturally black.

How to get to XiZiWan

Also on the orange line, you stop at the XiZiWan MRT station. If you are in Pier Art 2 you can walk to the sea. Just visit the area, and you can save 1 MRT route.

XinJueJiang night market

At night, you can go to XinJueJiang to eat and drink. This place is less junk food but a maze of shopping, experience for Taiwanese tourists – a self – sufficient Kaohsiung trip is that each alley you turn down, there are countless shops. clothing, shoes, jewelry super nice accessories. The layout of the shops here is very eye-catching that you can not go out, the price of the products worth the quality of them so you do not worry about being challenged( about 1.5 – 2 dollars).
