Return to the hotel after a long day of exploring, it was nearly 5 pm, I and my friends took advantage of time to change clothes to take the car to the downtown of city for dining and sightseeing. With a distance of only 12km from the hotel, but it takes nearly 1 hour to move, it is truly unthinkable. Traffic jam at the rush hour in Cebu is too horrible, the influx of people and cars constantly rushing to the streets in total disarray. And I see this as an experience for the next day to choose a more reasonable way of moving.

The location we choose to dine is Crown Regency Hotel & Towers, The Cebu’s tallest building with 40 floors. It has its own entertainment complex with a 4D theater and roller coaster on the roof of the building. The buffet price for 1 person on the 19th floor is 850 peso ($44.71) plus one thrilling game. If you pay 1000 peso ($52.60), you will get a preferential package of eating buffet and playing all the games here. Talking about the thrilling games here, just afraid you don’t dare to play. Fly over the top between the two buildings, roller coaster around the building, swing and the jump from above, … and 8 of us no one dares to play after watching it!
Cebu itinerary 3 days — Day 2: Impressive
At 3:30 am in the morning we getting on the Raven’s car, which was waiting in front of the hotel to move to the important place of today, Oslob. Perhaps this is the most intriguing and sleepy tour ever! That’s right, as I read on the internet, from central Cebu to Oslob takes nearly 4 hours of travel. Besides, as its name “Whale Shark Watching Tour”, the best time to watch these whale sharks was 7am – 9am. Well, getting up early is worth it, isn’t it!
Oslob – the sanctuary of the planet’s biggest whale shark
Referring to Oslob, this is a very rare place in the world where the whale shark often appears. Early on, the staffs of the sanctuary went out to the sea, feeding to lure sharks into the shore for visitors to admire naturally. This is the largest shark in the world with a length of 9m – 12m. Each time a shark opens its mouth, it is nearly 1.5m long, but you are assured they are safe. With a swimming speed of only 15km/h, the inside of the mouth contains nearly 300 small teeth, so they just open their mouths to swallow all kinds of plankton, large algae, mollusks or cuttlefish and small vertebrates! So there has never been a case of being reported about whale sharks that endanger humans. Before the small groups sailed into the sea to watching sharks, they will hear “young girls” reading the instructions and safe distances when swimming near them.
We were instructed to get on a small boat, the boat just enough for 8 members of the group. Sitting on the boat, we were equipped with life jackets and diving goggles to watch whale sharks. The boat started off the coast, only about 300 meters from the coast and stopped. The boat staff told us that we can freely swim in this area, it is more than 10m deep so you need to be careful if you do not wear a life jacket. Just as I jumped into the water, I were even more feeling shocked and excited. I face to face a whale shark right away, it’s really big! Although it has been recommended that they are safe for humans, perhaps this is the first time in my live facing the giant whale sharks right below the ocean’s abyss. Surprise, excited, happy are the feelings when I see them, not one but a group of the world’s biggest whale sharks! Really amazing!
The cost of seeing rare whale sharks is 1000 peso ($52.60)/person. As soon as you arrive, someone will guide you to buy tickets and equip you with life jackets carefully. Deep breathing and deep diving are tips from girls reading instructions for visitors!
Kawasan Falls – Challenge your limits
30 minutes of diving watching the whale sharks are enough for me to impress on this unique experience! And we catch the car again and went straight to the next place that the local friend introduced was unforgettable. The destination named Kawasan Falls is located in southwestern Cebu, a famous place that when you set foot in Cebu you will see it appear on tour brochures, travel guide books … You should book tour to fully explore this famous waterfall! Because if you do not book a tour, there will be no terrain guide to accompany the help group and show you how to jump or dangerous water areas to avoid jumping. The tour price that I booked through the Raven guy was 1.800 pesos ($94.68)/person, very cheap compared to the price of 2.700 pesos ($142.02) that the tour sellers offered.
Kawasan waterfalls consists of 3 main falls, 5m high, 10m, 15m, which are crept in the mysterious forest combined with the emerald green water to create an extremely epic landscape! The luggage prepared to conquer the waterfall will be well equipped by the tour team from life jackets, helmets, climbing shoes, … and have a native guy follow you. Every time we go deep into the forest, the level difficulty of the rocks or waterfalls is raised as challenging the adventurers like us. Such as, lie down on the waterfall to free fall, or cliff jump to the area below… But surely you will not have to fear because you keep looking at the line of people who overcome the obstacles ahead, will making you more confident and moving forward. The feeling of experience is that!
Leaving Kawasan to going back to Cebu at nearly 3pm, our group took the advantage of time to return to Cebu for on time of shopping. Knowing before the road will be stuck and waiting, so we headed straight to Cebu center instead of return to the hotel to bathe and go back. Thanks to that, we save traffic jam time a lot!
3 days in Cebu — What to do in Cebu for 3 days: The half-day of the 3rd day
We have breakfast at the hotel, then took the car to the famous Church of Basilica del Santo Nino, which was honored as the oldest cathedral in Cebu. Dressed in the ancient beauty of ancient Spanish architecture, the church is a famous tourist destination of international visitors. Outside the church there is also a rare historical Cross. The explorer Magellan first planted that Cross in the Philippines, marking the birth of Christianity on April 21, 1521.
Catholics in the Philippines have traditionally lit candles when they came to church. They walked around huge wooden choir stalls, lit candles that were off and prayed sincerely. Behind the church is a large yard built to serve major festivals and prayers. People are willing to sit for hours in the sun to pray and repent.

We visited for a while and took the car back to the hotel to check out. We are also a bit afraid of traffic jams so we take advantage of time a lot! So the end of the days “sunny, windy”, full of great! Surely, Cebu will be a bold imprint in our hearts! See you this land again!
