Mural Art (Wall paintings)

Mural Art (Wall paintings) ipoh (3)
Picture on the wall in a cafe.

The artist Ernest Zacharevic took inspiration from Ipoh’s heroic past to paint on the walls everywhere in the city. He started this work in 2014 with the project called Old Town’s Art, bringing the history of Ipoh to the walls. Coffee bags, men enjoying coffee … is one of the many contents of the paintings. There are quite a lot of paintings drawn in 3D style and you can enjoy them when going through the Jahan market, Jalan Tun Sambathan and Jalan Padang. In addition to Zacharevic, street art here is also quite interesting to change from time to time during the year.
