Concubine Lane

Mural Art (Wall paintings)
The artist Ernest Zacharevic took inspiration from Ipoh’s heroic past to paint on the walls everywhere in the city. He started this work in 2014 with the project called Old Town’s Art, bringing the history of Ipoh to the walls. Coffee bags, men enjoying coffee … is one of the many contents of the paintings. There are quite a lot of paintings drawn in 3D style and you can enjoy them when going through the Jahan market, Jalan Tun Sambathan and Jalan Padang. In addition to Zacharevic, street art here is also quite interesting to change from time to time during the year.

Ipoh Tree is the name of the small park in front of Ipoh railway station. The park is also associated to the independent square of Ipoh.
Kellie’s Castle
Malaysia’s oldest castle built by Scottish Kellie William Smith to give his wife Agnes before moving to Malaysia in 1903.
However, the construction stopped because Mr. Kellie died and the flu caused 70 workers to die. Currently, this building is associated with phenomena, mysterious ghosts.

Sam Poh Tong
Ipoh suburb is home to centuries-old religious architecture. These works are mostly carved on limestone cliffs and perhaps the most famous is Sam Poh Tong – a cave once inhabited by master monks in the 1890s and has become a temple and pagoda complex.
The solemn atmosphere in this sacred place remains intact after hundreds of years with the statues of Buddha guarding at the cave entrance and candles lit along the cave. Ling Sen Tong is a temple of modern features, bearing the appearance of a play place of the gods. Believers can freely take pictures of god statues here.
