See hydrangeas at Camellia Hill
For details about this hill, read my previous post of the 10 beautiful must-visit check-in spots on Jeju Island. Camellia Hill is the promise land for those who love flowers and photography, especially for couples. This place is covered with crimson camellia bushes, romantic words are hung all over the trails, and fancy stone chairs are set inside the camellia garden for visitors to pose and take photos. This is a favorite destination of the youth on Jeju Island that is not yet known to foreign tourists.
Another interesting thing is that at the end of the camellia season, there will be many other beautiful flowers follow to bloom such as hydrangea, jasmine, mondo grass, and azaleas etc. so visitors can come here to enjoy the flowers and play around with their cameras. This is a place where couples have to visit since it’s so gorgeous and romantic. Remember to book tickets before coming here because the hill is so lovely that it attracts quite a lot of tourists.
Visit O’sulloc Tea green tea garden
O’Sulloc green tea field is South Korea’s oldest and largest tea plantation. The endless green space here with make you surprised and fascinated. The vast green tea fields with no endpoints with fresh, fragrant green tea leaves will make you feel comfortable and relaxed.
Arriving at O’Sulloc green tea field, the open scene before your eyes is the green field stretching endlessly. Along with that is the faint aroma of tea leaves. The whole vast field takes you hours to explore all the roads and corners. And you will be able to pick your own young tea leaves, learn how to dry, pack and enjoy fresh tea right here.
In addition, when visiting O’sulloc green tea field, remember to try the green tea ice cream. The ice cream is cool with moderate sweetness, made from the harvested green tea leaves in the O’sulloc garden that we visit. In the middle of summer, ice cream is the best treat.
Take a walk at Woljeongri Beach
Woljeongri Beach is known as “the place where the moon stops”, meaning this beach is so beautiful that the moon passing by is also attracted to it and unable to leave. And truly, Woljeongri is an attractive beach with super-fine sand, and the water is so clear that it makes us feel that we can see the sea floor as well. There is a very interesting activity here which is kayaking. The kayaks have transparent bottoms, so sitting on them feels like sitting in the middle of the immense sea.
Surrounding the beach are many lovely cafes, but it is recommended to try Munui cafe. The shop is decorated in a classic vintage style. Several antique items in the shop are collected by the owner from around the world and brought back here for display. The special drink of Munui cafe is the green tangerine latte made from fresh juicy tangerine grown in local tangerine gardens, which is one of the specialty fruits of Jeju Island.
