More than just a botanical garden, it’s a giant botanical empire with an astonishing dinosaur valley and French-style gardens as beautiful as Versailles.

What’s Impressive About Nong Nooch in Pattaya, Thailand?
To be honest, before this trip, we thought Nong Nooch would be just like any other ecological park, but as the tram glided across the lush green lawns, we were completely overwhelmed! This garden is enormous, spanning over 270 hectares (approximately 1,700 rai), so vast that you could walk all day and still not see it all. Walking through this vibrant space, I was even more surprised to learn about its fascinating transformation history.
Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Ticket in Pattaya
Initially, in 1954, the land was purchased by Mrs. Nongnooch and her husband to be used as a plantation for oranges, mangoes, and coconuts. However, after traveling abroad and being captivated by the beauty of famous botanical gardens, she decided to completely change the plan, transforming the fruit orchard into a tropical plant conservation area.
Officially opened to visitors in 1980, Nong Nooch today is not only a stunning photo spot but also a masterpiece of landscape that will leave anyone who visits in awe.

What to do at Nong Nooch Tropical Garden – Pattaya?
Interact with Thai elephants
One of my most memorable experiences at Nong Nooch was the opportunity to interact directly with the giant yet incredibly gentle elephants. Here, you can buy bananas to feed the elephants or experience the fun of tipping them yourself.
These baby elephants are incredibly intelligent! Just give them a 20 baht or 100 baht note, and they’ll skillfully wrap it around their trunks and obediently return it to their mahout. This is the perfect time to interact and capture some unique check-in photos.
Like the water buffalo (carabao) in the Philippines that have to plow the fields, the elephants at Nong Nooch also need to “work” to earn money to cover their enormous daily food needs. Without participating in tourism activities, they would struggle to have enough resources to survive. Understanding this, I suddenly appreciate the bond between humans and animals at this sanctuary even more.
Enjoy the Spectacular Art Performances
Since you’ve gone to the trouble of buying tickets to Nong Nooch, you absolutely must not miss the shows here. The resort organized two consecutive programs very professionally: a Thai culture show recreating magnificent dances and Muay Thai martial arts, followed immediately by an impressive and intelligent elephant show.
But do you know the biggest plus point that I really liked? The entire theater area was equipped with an air-conditioned system, making it incredibly cool! Having experienced the sweltering heat of Pattaya, you’ll understand just how amazing it is to sit in cushioned seats, enjoy the air conditioning, and watch an art show. This is definitely the ideal stop for the whole family to relax and escape the heat.
Explore the Giant Aquarium and the Vibrant Flower Garden
Nong Nooch is vast and boasts a much richer ecosystem than I imagined. After watching the show, I stopped by the Big Fish area. This part truly surprised me because not only were there giant fish like Arapaima and huge schools of tilapia swimming around, but you could also see alligators up close. The feeling of observing such a diverse world of wildlife at such close range was very exciting.

We also visited the colorful Flower Garden. This place is simply amazing, bursting with vibrant colors and countless tropical flowers arranged and trimmed with incredible artistry. Just find a small spot, point your camera, and you’ll have stunning backdrops for taking photos and filling your entire photo album!
Traveling Back to Prehistoric Times with Dinosaur Valley
It would be a shame to visit Nong Nooch without mentioning this area! Initially, I thought there would only be a few cement models for children to see, but when the electric tram sped by, I was truly amazed. There are hundreds of 1:1 scale (life-size) dinosaur models scattered throughout the valley.
Pattaya Island Trip with Activities,Drone Photos at Nature Beach
Standing at the foot of a towering T-Rex or Brachiosaurus, combined with the vividly integrated roaring sounds, I felt like I was lost in the blockbuster Jurassic Park. Whether you’re an adult or a child, this spot is guaranteed to be a stunning photo opportunity.
Luxurious “Instagrammable” Photos at the French Garden and Stonehenge Replica
I was in Thailand, but it felt like I was strolling through Europe! The French Garden is one of Nong Nooch’s proudest spots, designed and meticulously manicured to perfectly replicate the splendor of the Palace of Versailles.
Furthermore, this area cleverly features a replica of the famous Stonehenge stone circle. My top advice is to wear brightly colored outfits (red, yellow, white) so that when standing amidst this vast green space, you will be the center of attention in every photo.
Lost in the Cactus Garden and Bonsai Kingdom
Art in Paradise Pattaya Ticket
If you are a true plant lover, the Cactus Garden and Bonsai Garden will make you linger for a long time. We were truly overwhelmed by the giant cacti, in all sorts of bizarre shapes, brought in from all over the world. Right next to it is the Bonsai art display area, meticulously cared for down to every leaf. A stroll here offers a very meditative and peaceful feeling after hours of lively fun.
Change of Scenery with a Unique Car Collection (Nong Nooch Car Garden)
Free eSIM Day Tour from Bangkok to Pattaya&nong nooch & forest cafe
One highlight that surprised me was that in the middle of a nature reserve there was a… car showroom! It turns out, this is the garden director’s extremely passionate personal collection. Inside, dozens of sports cars, off-road vehicles, and custom cars with incredibly unique designs are on display. This area also has cool air conditioning, perfect for husbands or boys to admire while the ladies are busy taking photos with the flowers and plants outside.

Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Pattaya Experience
Strolling and sightseeing in such a large garden will definitely drain your energy and quickly leave you hungry. To be honest, we were initially quite hesitant about eating inside the tourist area for fear of being overcharged. However, Nong Nooch has a Food Court with extremely affordable and clearly displayed prices, which relieved our worries.
Near the performance theater area, you can easily find stalls serving all kinds of typical Thai dishes. From piping hot Pad Thai and spicy Som Tum papaya salad to fragrant pineapple fried rice, everything is available. The seating area is also spacious, clean, and convenient for resting.
In addition, if you’re not starving and just want a light snack, there are many food carts and small rest stops along the walkways. My hard-earned experience is that you absolutely must buy a chilled fresh coconut or a serving of Thai coconut ice cream. It only costs about 50-100 Baht but it’s an excellent thirst quencher in the sweltering heat of Pattaya!
Souvenir Shopping: A Corner for Bringing Home Gifts
Pattaya Floating Market Ticket
How can you go on a trip without buying souvenirs for family and colleagues, right? Right near the exit and close to the shows, the tourist area has many bustling souvenir stalls.
I saw a plethora of items with a distinctly Thai “vibe”: from elephant-print t-shirts, Thai silk pants, embroidered bags, to super cute dinosaur keychains for kids. Especially, because it’s a botanical garden, there are also areas selling miniature plants, bonsai, and handcrafted ceramics.
Although international tourists can’t bring live plants on the plane back home, admiring and buying a few hand-carved wooden statues or exquisite ceramic vases to display at home is enough to make a wonderful souvenir of the trip!
Honestly, after visiting Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, we understand even more why Thailand is always such an attractive destination for tourists worldwide. Not only does it boast a magnificent space, meticulously designed down to every detail, but the staff here are also extremely professional and hospitable. Trust Klook, a trip to Nong Nooch will be an unforgettable highlight in your journey exploring the Land of the Golden Pagodas.
