Visitors will definitely want to stop at small shrine of Nishiki Tenmangu by peaceful space here. From Nishiki, walk towards Gion and Higashiyama area. Going deep into Higashiyama district, you will pass Kiyomizu-dera Temple about 20 minutes from Rc Hotel Kyoto Yasaka. On the steep road you will go through dozens of houses and shops. The opening time of the temple is from 6:00 am – 6:00 pm. The entry fee is 300 yen.

It is said that this temple was built in 711. The sanctuary is about 870,000 square meters, with the center being Inari-Yama mountain. Fushimi-Inari-taisha Shrine is famous for the “Zenbon Torii” tunnel with lots of vermilion Torii gates located within the temple grounds. This is a must visit shrine when traveling to Kyoto.
