Best beaches in Busan: Haeundae
Haeundae is known as the most beautiful beach across Korea, it is quite popular and is an ideal destination for foreign tourists. If you go in the fall or spring, the beach is usually less crowded and very peaceful, but if in the summer around July, August is the peak tourist season, you will see a bustling, crowded Haeundae. Here, you can see the panoramic view of the city at night from Dalmaji Hill, enjoy and see fresh seafood at Haeundae market.
Around Haeundae beach, there are many bars, hotels, and luxury resorts such as Haeundae Grand Hotel, Hanwha Resort Haeundae Tivoli… in addition, there are hotels combined with casinos such as Paradise Casino Hotel. Besides, there are famous restaurants and shopping malls and centers for tourists to shop.
In particular, do not miss the Shinsegae Centum City department store located near the Haeundae coast. This is a place recognized by Guinness as the largest shopping mall in the world with many diverse shops of all kinds of brands, cinemas and restaurants that converge cultures and cuisines of countries around the world for visitors to experience.
Moreover, Haeundae beach also has an activity imbued with Korean culture, which is traditional games and sand festivals. Most visitors coming to this place love these activities because it both relaxes and helps them understand traditional folklore in Korea.
On a clear day, you can see the coast of Japan from Dalmaji Hill, and at night the sea reflects the skyscrapers of the City. You can also head to the vibrant Haeundae Night Market for fresh seafood or explore the famous SEALIFE Busan Aquarium.
How to get to Haeundae: Take the subway line 2 to Haeundae Station, then exit 3 and 5.
Famous beach in Busan: Gwangalli
Gwangalli is located on the west side of Haeundae Sea, the second most famous beach in Busan with a length of 1.4km and a semicircle shape. Gwangalli Beach not far from Busan city center, during the day it is not as bustling as Haeundae but at night it is a must-see place for any travel itinerary.
You can come here to experience thrilling sports games such as water skiing, jet skiing, windsurfing… or you can also sunbathe and lying under umbrellas with sun loungers on the fine white sands with the rental price of only 5,000 won/piece/day. Here, there are also countless cafes, restaurants and bars with locations right on the shore with beautiful sea views. If you come to Gwangalli in winter, don’t miss the experience of enjoying coffee, food, watching the sea and catching the first cold winds of the season.
In addition to the above interesting experiences, Gwangalli Beach at night is also special because of the Gwangandaegyo bridge or Diamond bridge (the bridge that appeared in the superhero movie Black Panther). With a length of over 7km, this is the bridge connecting Haeundae and Suyeong, standing here you can completely see the miniature world of Gwangalli beach.
Gwangalli is a bit closer to central Busan, and less popular with expats, though it’s still a must-see for any trip itinerary. Come at night to see the Gwangan Bridge light up (for Marvel fans, the bridge was featured in the recent superhero movie Black Panther). Although the waves are quite gentle, surfers do not venture down here occasionally.
How to get to Gwangalli: Take the subway line 2 to Gwangan Station (exit 5) or Geumnyeosan Station (exit 3).
Best beaches in Busan: Songdo
Songdo is a small beach in Busan, but the scenery with many restaurants and cafes around is also very good, worth the time for visitors to experience. Although Songdo is not as famous as Haeundae and Gwangalli, this is the first beach in Busan with a jump bridge over the sea.
Songdo Beach has 4 great services that attract “adventurous” tourists not to be missed when coming to Korea: cable car over the sea, skywalk, boat rental service to sailing around and bungee jumping.
You should go to Songdo in the summer to enjoy delectable food, walk on the Songdo skywalk or take the cable car at sunset for a beautiful view over the sea.

Best Busan beaches: Dadaepo

Dadaepo is most popular with locals, and it’s suitable for a day trip, or a picnic.
This beach is an ideal destination for family vacations because of its shallow water level is only 1.5m, so it is very suitable for children and safe, especially if you love day trips, Dadaepo promises is a great destination.
Most foreign tourists often come to Dadaepo in the summer around August to participate in the Busan International Rock Festival to immerse themselves in the music that dispels the sweltering summer heat. Besides, there are many other activities for you to immerse yourself in the sea and understand the traditional culture of Koreans.
How to get to Dadaepo: From Busan Station, take bus number 2 or number 98 or take subway line 1 to reach Dadaepo station.
Best Busan beaches: Songjeong
Although not far from Haeundae, Songjeong beach is less known to tourists because of its relatively small area. Most tourists come here just to surf because the sea level is low, ensuring safety. In summer, it is the ideal destination for families on weekends or holidays to relax under the green trees and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
In addition, Songjeong beach is also home to the annual Songjeong Beach Festival, the Full Moon Seaweed festival and a number of other traditional Korean festivals. This is also the highlight that attracts tourists to Songjeong when coming to the beautiful land of kimchi.
How to get to Songjeong: From Haeundae subway station take exit 7, then take bus 100, 139 or 142 and get off at Seongjeong station.
Above is just a list of famous and best beaches in Busan, especially in the summer there are many festivals taking place here to dispel the heat of the Korean summer. Because there are so many beaches, don’t worry Busan will be crowded, in addition, there are many sports such as football, volleyball, more intense sports such as surfing, water skiing, jet skiing, boating, etc… which are very cool and fun for you to experience.
