Koh Samet travel blog: What to do?
Beach
The beach in Koh Samet is quite beautiful, quiet and not bustling like in Pattaya. Blue sea water, it looks great. Immerse yourself in this jade-clear blue water is truly wonderful, so many sorrows disappear.

The most favorite is smooth white sand, very clean, without rubbish, walking on sand like being massaged. Roll over and feel like being exfoliate for skin.
After swimming and lying on the beach to relax and sunbathe, helping supplement your skin with vitamin D is a great experience. You have to apply sunscreen first because the heat in Thailand is very harsh.
On the beach there are also benches for visitors to relaxing, reading books, listening to music, contemplating life … Just lying down while enjoying fresh coconut water is also wonderful.
In addition, along the beach, there are also beach food vendors selling junk food such as papaya salad, grilled seafood, drinks … Called hawker but looking orderly, very clean. After bathing, feeling hungry? just go to the shore to eat, finished eating then swimming again, then hungry? then eat again. Life is easy, LOL.
One of the nice things in Thailand that I really like is that the beach food vendors on the beach neither invite with insistence the visitors, nor rip off or dumping, they stipulate the price for each item, so whether you buy the goods from any vendor, all are the same. If you don’t believe that, you can try to bargain with some beach food vendors, they will not discount even a penny. I like it, they play nice! Fair competition!
Dinner on the beach
When the sun goes down, the shops along the beach are lights up. In Koh Samet, the most favorite is the evening. Both shimmering and many things to eat, freely to chill until morning.
The eateries are always lined up close to the sea, so eating and listening to the sound of the waves is wonderful. If you have a lot of money, go to a restaurant, otherwise just hang around the shops along the sandy beach is enough. Most traditional Thai foods are “gathered enough”. But thanks to the atmosphere of the sea, the eating will be much better! Order a part of white rice, tom yum or Pad Thai, with a fresh coconut, smoothies or cocktails is enough for a perfect dinner. Of course, I recommend you drinking Thai beer too.
Trekking
This is quite interesting if you are a trekking lover or riding a motorbike around to exploring a new land. In addition to the beach, Koh Samet Island has untouched trails and dirty roads covered with lush green of trees. Because few tourists pay attention to it, it retains a peaceful and interesting look for those who love to explore and experience.
These trekking routes are quite rugged so you have to be careful when moving, especially in the rainy season, which is easy to slip. If you traveling by motorbike, you must be strong drive, easy out of balance and lost control drive! Motorbike rental prices range from 100 baht ($3.25) to 300 baht ($9.74) per hour or day depending on vehicle type.
In addition, on the island there is a cooler vehicle, ATV (off-road vehicle), a four-wheeled vehicle that looks exactly like the kids’ toys at home but it is the best to use to conquer rugged roads! To hire an ATV you have to deposit about 1.000 baht ($32.47).
There are also many other interesting activities you can participate in such as snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, water motorbikes, kayaking, paddling…
Koh Samet – you remember note this name on your Thailand travel dictionary in this summer. Surely you will have great relaxation moments in this green, beautiful island and near Bangkok. Don’t forget to share with us. Good luck!
