Kandawgyi Park

Let’s run away from the busy life of the city to enjoy the beauty of the natural scenery in the quiet park on this lake. The main destination that you can not miss is the Royal Barge in the middle of the lake. It looked like a floating palace.This is an extremely popular place for locals to relax, especially in the evening.

Lucky Seven

This is a traditional teahouse and a must place that you have to visit in Yangon. Let’s try to eat in groups here if possible so that you can try more and share the same. You have to try drinking milk tea, samosas and tea leave here to be called fully experienced then home.

Sarkies Bar at The Strand Hotel

The Strand is the most classic hotel in Yangon and is home to the history and the past of colonial Yangon. It was built in 1901 and has since retained most of its original features. If you do not intend to stay here at least go to visit, look and drink something at the bar. There is a “happy hour” from 5 pm to 11 pm every Friday.

Outside the city about an hour’s drive, this site is not to be missed for those who want to learn about the history of Myanmar. It is a quiet and peaceful place to pay tribute to those who died in the war. You can go here early in the morning, or stop here while on your way to Bago or Mandalay.

999 Shan Noodles Shop

You do not have to go far to find the best delicacies in Burma outside of this 999 Shan noodle shop. The shop name belongs to Shan noodles, and other dishes here also belong to Shan District, with impeccable taste. The food that you definitely should not be overlooked is Shan noodles served with golden tofu.

 Nga Htat Gyi Temple

This silent temple has many good examples of Burmese architecture and art in Yangon. The largest sitting Buddha also belongs to this temple, as high as 19.8 meters. The afternoon is the most pleasant time you can visit this place.

Wat Botataung

This traditional temple is especially splendid and beautiful, also the place of worship of the Buddha’s hair. With its location on the river, this pagoda gives you breathtaking views and fresh air. You can come here at any time, however, always pay close attention to your shoulders and legs, and remove your shoes before going inside.

Bogyoke Aung San Museum

The museum, which is also the home of General Aung San, contains decorative items as well as historic furniture dating back to the 1920s. You will have a relative view of modern Myanmar history when you visit here. The only regret thing is that this place is not allowed to take pictures so you must pay attention to this rule offline.

Aung Thukha
