Taijiang National Park
The Taijiang National Forest, a diverse nature ecosystem, most famous as the Sihcao Green Tunnel. Qigu Salt Mountain
Located in Chigu, near Qigu Lagoon, Qigu Salt Mountain is one of Tainan’s most popular attractions. More than 2 hectares of salt, white and smooth like a snow field.The bottom is the largest inland lagoons in Taiwan, rich in ecological resources and habitats for migratory wintering spoonbills or black-faced birds. Eternal Golden Castle
Eternal Golden Castle (Erkunshen Fortress) built on a square piece of land from the 19th century by a French engineer to against the power of the Japanese. The fort’s structure consists of four cannons at four corners, a deep moat and a suspension bridge at the main gate. In an emergency, the suspension bridge is cut to prevent enemy troops from entering. A military training ground with five Armstrong cannons. This fort was remodeled in 1975, after 100 years of construction, the Government of Taiwan opened to visitors from 8:30 to 17:30.

National Museum of Taiwan Literature

Black-faced Spoonbill Reserve
The reserve is the site of the Black-Faced Birds on the west coast of Tainan, next to the ecology zone of the Wen Tseng River and home to the creatures living in there, especially the rare spoonbills bird. This reserve is open 24 hours, is a small part of the wetland, dedicated to the protection of water birds. The birds in September are usually live in Korea and northern China, while the winter they migrate to Tainan. You will have more difficulty seeing birds when close approaching, so there is a binoculars system that gives you the best view of bird species at no cost. The reserve is part of the park in Taijiang National Park.
Guanziling Hot Springs
The area is divided into two sections, the old hot spring area is located in the valley with cheap price and the hot springs on the hilltop nearby are more expensive than the old one. There are hourly bus runs from Chiayi, Zhongshan Rd’s bus station, hundreds of meters down the street from the TRA Railway Station. Travel time takes about an hour (NT$79), ending at the summit building near the Toong Mao resort. In addition, you can take a taxi for NT$400. There are also eight daily buses (30 minutes/trip) from TRA Sinying Station.

Chimei Museum is a private museum founded in 1992 by the Chi Mei Corporation in Rende District. The collection of the museum is divided into five categories: Western art (including painting, sculpture, decorative arts and period furniture); Musical instrument; Natural history; Weapons and armor; Antiques and artifacts. The museum is known for its largest collection of violins in the world and is home to an important collection of ancient weapons, paintings and sculptures from the West. European paintings of the 18th and 19th centuries depict the development of Western art. Historical weapons exhibits from prehistoric times, Bronze Age, Iron Age to modern times.

Nankunshen Temple
The entire temple area consists of monumental buildings and spacious landscape garden with a variety of exquisite handicrafts. Nankunshen Temple spent nearly half a century for building and using 2,200 kilograms of gold ($15 million) for all gold ornaments and sculptures.
