There is a 3-storey wooden house from the Taisho period, which has been turned into a retail complex and modern library since 2014. The first floor is the museum featuring Esther’s famous handmade textile paintings of Sapporo, Hokkaido’s special deer skin handbags or leggings in special motifs. Then follow the stairs to Clark Gallery & Shift on the second floor, a white space where contemporary art from the artist’s locality was introduced in a collaborative project with the online magazine Shift.

You should visit the chocolate factory called Saturdays Chocolate Factory Cafe, which has a pretty cafe and supermarket on top of the building.
