Getting there: We depart from O’sulloc, so we take the bus No. 250-3 (from the Jeju Air And Space Museum, then stop at the Hamo 3-ri Chukhyup station and catch the bus No. 102 to getting to the Monsant).
Drinks here are also quite expensive, with an average price of about 10.000 Won ($8.49)/item. Maybe, I don’t “fit” with drinks prepared by Mr. GD, I’m feeling it not much delicious. However, the plus point is the bold artistic space of Mr. GD as well as the unique architecture of the shop.
In addition, if you are tired of sitting, you can carry the chair to … lying down. Watching the sunset, sipping a cup of coffee and enjoying the whispering waves, It will be great. If only Mr. GD sitting next to me, there is no regret anymore.
Update: Unfortunately, the Monsant cafe has recently changed its name to Thirdnature, and the GD is no longer a store owner.

Bomnal cafe
After filling up, watching the romantic sunset at Monsant, you can visit Bomnal cafe of a handsome, skillful chef in the movie Warm & Cozy. It’s also quite easy to find because of in fact, if you want to go to GD’s shop, you have to go through Bomnal cafe first, but because of eager to see GD first, we temporarily ignored Bomnal. The coffee shop is very crowded and you remember to buy drinks first before stepping inside.

Jeju 4 days 3 nights itinerary: Day 2
Black pork
We spent the whole first day to go to a lot of cafes, so on the 2nd day we decided to fill our stomach. One of the specialties you must definitely try in Jeju is grilled black pork, so tasty and extremely famous. The best grilled black pork when eaten with Mel-jeot, a sauce made of salted drum fish makes the food taste better. The average price at any eatery, restaurant, food stall is about 18.000 Won ($15.29)/200g of meat.
If you stay in Seogwipo, you can go to Olle Market to try it. In Jeju city, Neulbom Heukdwaeji (Address: 2343-3 Nohyeong-dong, Cheju, Jeju-do, South Korea / Hours: 11AM–11:45PM / Phone: +82 64-744-9001) is one of the most famous restaurants of black pork.
However, because we prefer to eat seafood, we decided to try the buffet of the famous restaurant of Shangri-la.
Shangri-La’s Seafood
At first we did not expect much, but when starting to eat, we was irresistible. Wow, what is good food, delicious and fresh. I am most enchanted with the big bowl of mantis shrimp and salmon salad, the thick piece of fish, so tasty.
You can buy buffet vouchers right at the restaurant, prices for adults and children are different. Note, buffet time is divided into 2 meals: Lunch from 12:00 – 15:00, Dinner from 17:30 – 22:00. You get the vouchers at the front desk and then go down to the restaurant below.

City Hall Area
After satisfying wishes at Jeju PLAY KPOP Museum, we take a taxi to City Hall area to playing. This area must be said to be one of Jeju’s busiest areas, where there are all kinds of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, shopping mall, no lack of anything of a modern city. However, City Hall is fun at night, but if you still have an itinerary to come to Seoul, you should save money for shopping in Seoul. Because prices in Jeju are quite expensive, even more expensive than Seoul.
Jeju island itinerary 4 days: Day 3
Seongsan Ilchulbong
After the second day, it was not “bumper” very much because we only going to eat seafood buffet at Shangri-la Seafood and hang out at the busy City Hall area of Jeju-si, we decided not to waste the 3rd day. OK. Although, we going out and moving quite a lot in night before, but we still decided to get up very early (4 am) to prepare and 5 am to depart for mountain climbing to watching the dawn at place where even UNESCO recognized is the most beautiful place to see the sunrise in Jeju, maybe most beautful in Korea – Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. This mountain is a volcanic peak that has existed for over 100.000 years, extremely beautiful, spectacular scenery and one of Jeju’s pride.
Korean people have a very good and healthy habit, on the weekends instead of sleeping in a bed, going out, or coffee, they often choose to go hiking and trekking, especially older people like to exercise for healthy body and breathe fresh air on the mountain.
We went to Seongsan Ilchulbong on Saturday morning, so we also met a lot of mountaineers. The entrance fee is 4.000 Won ($3.40)/person. However, we do not understand why when we arrived there was no ticket collector, maybe arrive before 7 am, you will have no pay admission fee. The peak is about 180m high, you don’t have to climb but there will be a staircase going up. If you walk up at normal speed, sometimes sitting and take pictures, virtual living, it takes about 30 minutes to reach to the top, if you go as fast as we do, it will takes only 15-20 minutes to get to the peak.
To see the sunrise here, you will have to go very early because Seongsan Ilchulbong is about 35-40 km from the center, for example, we get up at 5 and long traveling until 7 am to reach the peak, climb the mountain we still lucky to enjoy a little bit of the dawn. Therefore, if you take a bus, it is impossible because about 6 am the bus will be in operation, but it will take you around and maybe you will arrive at noon, too late to catch sunrise. The best way is reserve a tour from local travel agencies such as KKDay, Trazy, Klook or rent a private car.
Udo Island
Wake up early and spend the whole morning to climbing mountains, so when going down the mountain, we are very hungry. So we decided to go to Udo Island to eat and have fun. People often call Udo is “Cow Island” because looking at the map Udo is like a cow’s head next to Jeju Island. If Jeju is too big, too many places to go, too many foods to taste, too many things to play that make you confuse do not know where to start, you can go to Udo to reduce your confusion. Although Udo is small, it is also known as “Jeju miniature” with rich landscapes and diverse food and drinks.
To getting to Udo, you must take a ferry at Seongsan Pohang Passenger Terminal, the ferry terminal is located right next to Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, very convenient! When you arrive at the port to buy ferry tickets, you need to fill information on both sides of ticket: depart and return, and remember to bring PASSPORT to buy ferry tickets. The fare is 5.500 Won ($4.67)/round trip. Ferries start to run from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, so you should keep in mind to return after playing in Udo. It will take about 15 minutes to go from the ferry wharf to the island.
Udo is quite small and to serve tourism is mainly, so people made the road around the island, very beautiful and easy to go. However, to visit interesting places on the island, even if the road is beautiful, you are not foolish but choose to walk, very far away and anyway we are visitors and should not torture myself like that, because on the island there are many rental services (motorbike and electric bicycle) to getting around the island. If you have an international driver’s license, you can rent a scooter for about 25.000 Won ($21.23) for 3 hours of traveling around the island.
We do not have an international driver’s license, so we only hire a bicycle or an electric bicycle. However, it is not a problem because the weather is quite nice, the road is also smooth, so just cycling while watching the scene is great, doesn’t pouring sweat.
Udo Island has many beautiful places to visit, but every place is extremely lovely and beautiful. If you already have a bike, you just go along the asphalt road and find a nice place to stop by at the side of the road and then admire the scenery.
Some places you should go to are: Hu Hae Seok Byeok Cliffs, Seo Bin Baek Sa Beach, etc. and remember to pay attention you will be met “Haenyeo” ladies (aka the legendary women divers of Jeju). They are often the breadwinner – one of Jeju’s feminist symbols in particular and South Korea in general.
If you love and want to try horse riding once, this is definitely an opportunity that can’t be better for you. However, the price is slightly expensive, it costs more than 10.000 Won ($8.49) for 30-60 minutes of horseback riding.
You will also see a lot of rocks with stones stacked on top of each other and it is said that if you put stones on each other without falling down, then wish one thing, it will come true.
After visiting, you can go to any restaurant to eat specialties in Udo. Each shop has a unique style, quite interesting and eye-catching, you can freely choose according to your preferences. We chose a restaurant with delicious mussel noodles. The noodles are quite delicious but it seems a bit spicy to those who don’t like eat spicy.
After eating, remember to dessert with Peanut Ice-cream. The dish is famous throughout the island of Udo but if you don’t taste it, don’t go home. Almost every shop sells this item, but you can try at Jimmy’s All Natural Peanut Butter Ice-cream, which is quite delicious.
Jeju itinerary 4 days: Day 4
Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road
After a delightful third day of play, we decided that the 4th day in Jeju would be a bit softer to prepare for the early morning flight on the next day. So we took the bus to see the windmill field.

Hello Kitty Island
After that, we went back to the center, “have a snack” with a super delicious pot of tokbokki and getting to Hello Kitty Island. Although we are too old, but when we arrived, we were quite surprised and super excited because everything in this place was also cute. If you are traveling with a family and children, then you must go to Hello Kitty Island, surely your kids will love it.
